CSR Challenge Week 2021
The 16 JA Companies involved in the JA Mini Company Program 2021, will be completing their CSR Challenge from the 30th of October to the 7th of November 2021. The challenge will be in the form of a sensitisation campaign which they will be running on their Facebook and Instagram Account.
The CSR Action has always been an integral part of the JA Mini Company Program. The aim is to sensitise the young participants about some of the social ills around them and how they can play an active role in addressing them. For the 2021 edition, they will need to complete a series of actions or sensitisation campaigns that are in line with one of the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Each team will need to complete a minimum of four days of CSR Action during the period 30th October-7th November 2021.
The CSR Challenge Week can be followed on the JA Mascareignes Social Media Pages or by searching #CSRChallenge on Facebook and Instagram.
JA Mini Company ProgramTM is a hands-on program where students of Grade 12, aged 15 to 19, learn how to start and run their own businesses, develop and market a product or service under the guidance of a local business volunteer/mentor. After a preliminary round, 5 companies are shortlisted to showcase their business venture through a PowerPoint Presentation in front of an audience and Judging Panel. The winning team of the JA Mini Company Program represents Mauritius at the JA Africa Virtual Regional Company of the Year Competition.
The theme for this year’s competition is “Innovation with Grit”, it is inspired by the need for young people to demonstrate a sense of resilience and adaptability to overcome the challenges that have happened globally in the entrepreneurship space given the COVID-19 pandemic.
